Tradesman Special
Essential courses that will equip tradesmen with the fundamental training they will need whilst working in the construction industry preparing them for either returning to work or further more intensive training.
The course will cover:
- Manual Handling
- Basic principles of Manual Handling in the day to day working environment
- Hand Arm Vibration
- Necessary training to all operators of vibrating equipment
- Abrasive Wheels
- Select and mount safely the correct type of disc or wheel for the task to be carried out
- Vehicle Reversing (Banksman)
- The role of the vehicle driver and the banksman – How to identify danger areas and key issues, and HSE signals and reversing procedures
- Health & Safety Basic
- The course helps you stay safe and healthy at work by helping you recognise common hazards in the workplace and how to act in certain situations
- Asbestos
- What is asbestos? – the main properties of asbestos and its effects on health. How to avoid the risks from asbestos
- Ladder Safety
- Ensure that you have the knowledge and instruction to be able to use, select, maintain and inspect ladders, and step ladders for working at height
- Emergency First Aid in the workplace
- How to deal with an Emergency Situation, Cardiac Arrest, Unconsciousness, Blood loss
- CSCS Construction Skill Certification Scheme
- Revision Training, the online test consisting of 40 multiple choice questions lasting 45 minutes and appropriate CSCS Card
The course will take 5 x 7½ hour days – 37½ hours in total.
