Automated External Defibrillation (AED) – 4 hours
As the age of the workforce increases, the likelihood of a person suffering from an acute heart attack increases. It has been proved that survival rates will increase the sooner basic and advance life support is applied.
This course, conforming to the UK Resuscitation Council Guidelines, teaches the essential skills required by an AED operator and gives delegates the confidence to know what to do in this kind of emergency. No previous first aid knowledge is necessary to attend an AED course.
Learning outcome
The course will teach the individual how to perform basic life support to a high standard. The course will then develop their skills to enable them to know when and how to use an automated external defibrillator correctly and confidently.
